THE STORY

Working on one of the most iconic engineering marvels in the world, our team was immersed in a deeply creative collaboration alongside specialized interpretive exhibit designers. The project mandate was to bring the historic narrative of the dam’s construction to life through highly engaging, interactive public exhibits. Diving directly into the original, historic blueprints of the facility, our scope required a meticulous balance of technical production and structural sensitivity as we guided the project from the initial design development and construction drawings straight through active construction oversight.

THE VISION

The architectural intervention required immense historic sensitivity, carefully engineering partial modifications to the existing building facades while completely preserving and honoring the site’s original, iconic Art Deco flavor. The newly configured space planning integrates a heavy dose of AV digital media and immersive elements, allowing visitors to step directly into the history of the dam’s construction. The interior layout transforms simple space plans into a vibrant 3D experience, seamlessly marrying upgraded public circulation with dynamic storytelling exhibits to handle high-volume global tourism without altering the historic integrity of the original structure.
