Las Vegas Convention Center Legacy Campus Modernization

THE STORY

Our team directed the complex reality-capture, code compliance, and technical production pipeline during the critical Design Development phase for the comprehensive modernization of the convention center’s legacy campus. Originally constructed in the late 1950s and 1960s, the aging multi-million square foot structure required deep field verification and intensive point-cloud data analysis to reconcile decades of inaccurate as-built documentation. Operating within a high-pressure joint venture of five separate architectural offices, we successfully guided the technical execution and spatial coordination to finalize the design framework under strict municipal budgetary boundaries.

THE VISION

The architectural intervention successfully bridges the historical campus with the modern West Hall extension, establishing a unified, high-performance aesthetic across the entire 3.2 million-square-foot footprint. The technical coordination required re-engineering massive structural envelopes for advanced climate control, installing state-of-the-art digital wayfinding, and updating critical life-safety assemblies to meet current international building codes. Beneath the surface, the design required rigorous spatial coordination to seamlessly integrate structural foundations with the subterranean routes of the active Tesla underground transportation loops. The completed facility transforms an aging mid-century structure into a world-class, tech-integrated convention destination engineered for heavy global trade show operations.
