Resorts World Las Vegas (The Podium & Substructure)

THE STORY

As one of the three principal project architects for this historic 4.3 billion dollar integrated mega-resort, the most expensive property ever constructed in Las Vegas, our team spearheaded the complete architectural execution of the massive low-rise podium, exterior public realms, and subterranean infrastructure. While our co-architects focused upward on the hotel towers, we were tasked with engineering the structural, spatial, and operational engine of the resort. This required directing the highly complex spatial layouts for the main casino floors, curated premium dining venues, the sprawling rooftop amenity deck, and the massive underground logistical network that keeps the entire property running seamlessly behind the scenes.

THE VISION

The architectural envelope of the multi-level podium masterfully balances high-energy commercial hospitality with hyper-efficient operational design. On the main levels, we engineered a free-flowing, 117,000-square-foot gaming floor integrated with custom-designed premier restaurant fronts and structural storefront glazing. Elevating the resort experience to the fifth floor, we coordinated the execution of a world-class, 5.5-acre rooftop pool complex, the largest on the Las Vegas Strip, featuring nine distinct water features, luxury cabanas, and complex structural waterproofing boundaries built over the active casino spaces below. Hidden beneath it all, we designed a highly sophisticated, high-volume basement for back-of-house logistics, heavy-duty utility infrastructure, and site circulation. The completed podium stands as a triumph of massive-scale commercial coordination, merging luxurious guest architecture with industrial-grade mechanical precision.
