Fundación Ambulancia
Design in service of the people who show up when it matters most.
Fundación Ambulancia is a non-profit in Ecuador working to bring emergency support and care to the communities that need it most. Like so many foundations doing essential work, it runs entirely on donations, and those are never easy to raise. When they came to us, we didn't think twice

THE STORY
Some projects you take on for the fee. This one we took on for the mission.
We designed for Fundación Ambulancia pro bono, because we believe good design shouldn't be a privilege reserved for those who can pay for it. An organization that spends its days helping others deserves a space that helps it do that work, practical, dignified, and built to last, so that more of every donation goes where it's meant to go.
That belief sits at the heart of who we are as a studio. We build meaningful things, at every scale, for people and communities we care about. This is one of the projects we're proudest of.

DESIGN VISION
Our work never starts with the building, it starts with the people who'll use it. For Fundación Ambulancia, that meant designing around a single question: how do we help them help more people? Every decision answered to that goal, clarity, function, and a welcoming presence in the community, with nothing spent on anything that didn't earn its place.
We brought the same care here that we bring to every C&C project: listening first, designing for real life, and building something that feels human.
OUR ROLE
C&C Architecture Studio provided the architectural design for Fundación Ambulancia on a pro-bono basis. The project was led by our co-founders, Carlos Lausso and Claudia Franco.

SUPPORT
Fundación Ambulancia depends on donations to continue its work. If their mission speaks to you, we'd encourage you to learn more about what they do.
