THE STORY

The client selected our firm through a shared commitment to wellness-centered design. The existing property suffered from severe layout inefficiencies that compromised multi-generational comfort and privacy. A deep bond of trust was established during the initial interviews, allowing us to dive into a highly specialized remodeling scope. Moving systematically from creating initial as-built plans through conceptual design, Design Development, and Construction Documents, the project is now successfully under construction.

THE VISION

The architectural challenge was to deliver a highly modern transformation while maximizing affordability by respecting and preserving the home’s existing structural bones and roof lines. The re-engineered layout introduces an expansive daily transition zone via a converted garage space and integrates eco-conscious hemp wool insulation to optimize thermal comfort and air purity. To balance daylight with privacy and security, the design incorporates a custom, secure private porch structure at the front entry. The perimeter is completed with a playful, custom-designed fence tailored specifically for her dog, turning a once-limiting property into a dignified, secure, and light-filled modern sanctuary.
